Prize: one (1) gift card with an approximate retail value of $500 USD. Entry Fee: $0 — free to enter. Contest type: NFL Survivor Contest.
1. Eligibility
The Sizzlin Sports $500 NFL Survivor Challenge (the "Contest") is open only to natural persons who:
• Are at least twenty-one (21) years of age or the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, whichever is greater;
• Are legal residents of an eligible jurisdiction within the United States;
• Are physically located in an eligible jurisdiction at the time of entry where required by applicable law; and
• Comply with these Official Rules.
The Contest is void in any jurisdiction where participation or the awarding of the prize would be prohibited or restricted by applicable law.
Employees, owners, officers, contractors, and immediate family or household members of Sizzlin Sports may be declared ineligible at Sponsor's discretion.
Sponsor reserves the right to restrict participation from any state or jurisdiction if Sponsor determines that offering the Contest there may violate or create additional requirements under applicable law.
2. No purchase or payment required
Participation in the Contest is completely free. No purchase, subscription, wager, deposit, donation, merchandise purchase, membership, or other payment or consideration is required to enter or win.
Participants will not be required to: place a sports wager; deposit money; purchase a Sizzlin Sports product or service; subscribe to a paid Sizzlin Sports service; contribute to the prize pool; or provide anything of monetary value in exchange for participation.
The $500 prize is provided entirely by Sizzlin Sports. There are no paid entries, rebuys, add-ons, or paid second chances.
3. Contest period
The Contest will begin before the applicable NFL regular season on the date and time announced by Sizzlin Sports and will continue until a winner is determined pursuant to these Official Rules.
Registration deadlines and weekly selection deadlines will be displayed on the Sizzlin Sports website. Sponsor's system clock will be the official timekeeping device for the Contest.
4. How to enter
Eligible participants must register through the official Sizzlin Sports website. Unless otherwise expressly stated by Sponsor, each individual is limited to ONE (1) FREE ENTRY.
Participants may be required to provide information reasonably necessary to administer the Contest, including their name, email address, username, date of birth or age verification, and information necessary to verify eligibility or deliver a prize.
Creating multiple accounts, using false identities, entering on behalf of another individual, or otherwise attempting to obtain multiple entries is prohibited and may result in immediate disqualification.
5. How the Survivor Contest works
Each active participant must select one eligible NFL team during each applicable Contest week. The participant survives that week if the selected team wins its applicable game. If the selected team loses, the participant is eliminated.
Unless otherwise announced before the applicable week's selections open, a tie game will be treated as a losing selection and will eliminate the participant.
Once a participant selects a team during the Contest, that participant may not select the same team again during the Contest. Participants continue making weekly selections until eliminated or until a winner is determined.
6. Pick deadlines
Each selection must be submitted before the applicable deadline displayed on the Sizzlin Sports website. Selections involving a game that has already started will not be accepted. Once a selected team's game begins, the selection is final and cannot be changed.
Sponsor may establish an earlier universal weekly deadline provided that deadline is clearly displayed before selections are due. Participants are solely responsible for submitting selections before the applicable deadline.
Failure to submit a valid selection by the applicable deadline will result in elimination unless Sponsor has expressly published a different missed-pick policy before the Contest begins.
7. Team availability
A participant may select an eligible NFL team only once during the entire Contest. The Sizzlin Sports website may automatically prevent participants from selecting previously used teams.
If a system error permits a participant to select a team previously used by that participant, the selection may be declared invalid. Participants are responsible for reviewing their selection history.
8. Game postponements, cancellations and schedule changes
If an NFL game is postponed, canceled, suspended, relocated, rescheduled, or otherwise materially altered, Sponsor may take reasonable action necessary to preserve the fairness of the Contest. Depending on the circumstances, Sponsor may:
• Allow participants to change their selection;
• Treat the affected selection as a push and advance the participant;
• Require a replacement selection;
• Move the selection to the rescheduled game; or
• Apply another reasonable remedy consistently to all similarly affected participants.
Sponsor's decision regarding unusual NFL scheduling circumstances will be final, subject to applicable law.
9. Last participant remaining
The objective of the Contest is to be the final surviving eligible participant. If exactly one participant remains alive following completion of an applicable Contest week, that participant will be declared the potential winner, subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules.
10. Multiple survivors and end-of-season procedure
If multiple participants remain alive when no additional eligible NFL regular-season games remain, Sponsor will use a predetermined tiebreaking procedure announced before the applicable tiebreaker begins. The tiebreaker will be an NFL Playoffs prediction.
Sponsor may use NFL postseason games to continue the Survivor Contest if this procedure is disclosed to all remaining participants before those selections are made. Sponsor will not arbitrarily select a winner.
11. Mass-elimination rule
If every remaining participant is eliminated during the same Contest week, the participants who entered that week as active survivors will advance to a tiebreaker. Sponsor may use the following tiebreaking methods:
1. A subsequent NFL Survivor selection;
2. A predetermined football-related prediction (such as the NFL Playoffs prediction);
3. A closest-to-the-total-points prediction; or
4. Another objective method announced to all affected participants before the tiebreaker occurs.
The prize will not automatically be awarded based on the order in which games concluded unless that procedure was announced in advance.
12. Prize
One verified winner will receive one (1) gift card. Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $500.00 USD.
The prize is funded entirely by Sizzlin Sports and is not derived from participant entry fees, wagers, deposits, or contributions. The prize is non-transferable except at Sponsor's discretion.
The winner is responsible for any federal, state, local, or other taxes associated with receiving the prize. Sponsor may require information reasonably necessary for tax reporting or legal compliance before issuing the prize.
13. Winner verification
The potential winner is subject to verification. Sponsor may require reasonable documentation establishing: identity; age; state or jurisdiction of residence; ownership of the Contest account; compliance with the one-entry-per-person limitation; and compliance with these Official Rules.
If a potential winner cannot establish eligibility, violated these Official Rules, used fraudulent information, manipulated the Contest, or otherwise participated improperly, Sponsor may disqualify the participant and determine the winner according to the remaining Contest rules.
14. Prohibited conduct
Participants may not: create multiple accounts; enter under multiple identities; submit selections on behalf of another participant; sell or transfer an entry; manipulate or attempt to manipulate the Contest website; circumvent selection deadlines; exploit bugs or technical errors; use automated systems to create accounts or submit entries; interfere with another participant's entry; or engage in fraudulent or abusive conduct.
Sponsor may disqualify any participant reasonably determined to have violated these provisions.
15. Not sports betting
The Contest is intended to be a free promotional sports prediction contest. Participants do not wager money or anything of monetary value on NFL games through Sizzlin Sports. Sizzlin Sports does not accept entry fees or participant funds in connection with this Contest.
The Contest is not intended to constitute a sportsbook, sports pool, lottery, gambling operation, or other regulated wagering activity. Nothing contained in the Contest constitutes an offer to accept a wager.
16. NFL disclaimer
The Contest is independently operated by Sizzlin Sports. Sizzlin Sports is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, administered by, or associated with the National Football League, its member clubs, or their respective owners, players, employees, affiliates, or partners.
All NFL team names, trademarks, logos, and other intellectual property belong to their respective owners. Reference to NFL teams is solely for purposes of identifying sporting events relevant to the Contest.
17. Technical problems
Sponsor is not responsible for entries or selections that are late, lost, corrupted, misdirected, incomplete, or not received due to circumstances outside Sponsor's reasonable control.
If a technical failure materially affects the integrity of the Contest, Sponsor may take reasonable corrective action, including reopening selections, extending a deadline, invalidating affected selections, or suspending a Contest week. Any corrective action will be applied as consistently and fairly as reasonably possible to similarly situated participants.
18. Modification, suspension or cancellation
Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest if fraud, technical failure, NFL schedule changes, legal or regulatory requirements, force majeure, or circumstances beyond Sponsor's reasonable control materially impair the integrity or lawful operation of the Contest.
Sponsor will not materially modify these Official Rules after Contest entry begins merely to favor or disadvantage a particular participant.
19. Publicity
Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to publicly identify the winner by first name, last initial, username, city and state for purposes of announcing Contest results.
Any additional use of a winner's image, likeness, voice, or testimonial will be subject to applicable law and any additional consent required by Sponsor.
20. Privacy
Personal information collected in connection with the Contest will be used to administer the Contest, verify eligibility, communicate with participants, prevent fraud, award the prize, and comply with applicable legal requirements.
Contest entry does not automatically constitute consent to receive unrelated promotional emails or marketing communications where separate consent is required by law. Participant information will otherwise be handled according to the Sizzlin Sports Privacy Policy.
21. Release and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, participants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, representatives, and affiliates from claims arising from participation in the Contest or acceptance or use of the prize, except to the extent such liability cannot legally be waived.
Nothing in these Official Rules limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited or waived.
22. Disputes
To the extent permitted by applicable law, disputes arising from the Contest or these Official Rules will be governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any legal proceeding relating to the Contest will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Nevada unless applicable law requires otherwise. Participants retain any rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable state or federal law.
23. Sponsor decisions
Sponsor will administer the Contest in accordance with these Official Rules. Sponsor's reasonable interpretations and decisions regarding Contest administration, scoring, eligibility, selections, and tiebreakers will be final to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Sponsor may correct obvious clerical, scoring, or technical errors when necessary to maintain the integrity of the Contest.
24. General conditions
If any provision of these Official Rules is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the maximum extent permitted by law. Sponsor's failure to enforce any provision on one occasion does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
Headings are provided for convenience and do not alter the meaning of these Official Rules.
25. Responsible gaming
The Contest does not require or permit wagering through Sizzlin Sports. Participants should not interpret Contest selections, Sizzlin Sports commentary, betting discussions, odds, picks, or other sports-related content as a requirement or encouragement to place a wager.
Participation in this Contest is independent of any wagering activity a participant may undertake elsewhere.
